Where can I purchase your prints?
Great Question! A few of places actually:
theBungaloo Etsy Store
Poster Cabaret
Signed and Numbered
BlueBottle Art Gallery
I see a poster is sold out, will you be printing more?
Nope, sorry bucko. Every poster is a limited edition, which is a big part of their appeal. Once they are gone, they're gone, and it would be unethical and unfair to those who already own one to make more. However, on the bright side, I'm always making new designs, so please check back often.
What about T Shirts, same thing?
Nope, so you're in luck. I try to print T Shirts as often as I can, but my inventory always fluctuates, so, check back often if something you want is temporarily out-of-stock. Or let me know what you're looking for if you can't seem to find it in the store.
And Scarves?
See the answer for T Shirts above, but swap out the instances of "T Shirts" for "Scarves."
What is Etsy? Why do you sell everything through Etsy?
Etsy is an online marketplace for buying & selling all things handmade. It provides the buyer a secure online shopping experience, and, with the inventory I have, it is a very efficient system for me to manage. A good portion of my work is done in very small runs and as well as strictly original pieces. While I may continue to make items that are similar, say, a batch of sketchbooks, most often, each individual one is different. Etsy allows for a simple shop that doesn't require much maintenance when inventory fluctuates, allowing me to allocate more time towards making new work, and less on updating my website. However, if this really is not a good system for you, please let me know and I will do my best to accomodate.
Will you make a poster for me?
Sure, I would be happy to. Email me for a quote and I'll probably start doodling initial designs right away.
What about other stuff? Do you do other stuff?
Yes.
How long does it take to make a poster?
The process is slow, but it completely varies. I'm only a one-man-shop, so I like to begin posters at least a solid month before you want them in your hands, because I'm usually juggling a few projects at a time. Be safe, plan ahead, you'll be glad you did.
Where did you learn to screen print?
I got my BFA in design from Drake University, where I was doing a lot of lithography. I loved the presses and the process but I knew I couldn't take it with me when I left college, and Drake didn't offer screen printing. So, I learned from the internet, mostly. And a couple of books from the library. And a few select poster makers and printers I really admire who took pity on me and taught me a trick or two.
If I have a T Shirt design, will you print it on shirts for me?
H-no! There are more printers out there who are setup much better than I for production work like that than you could shake a stick at. If you're having problems finding one though, I'd be happy to help.
Do you offer wholesale prices for my retail shop/boutique/back-alley-trading-emporium?
Yup. Send me an email and let me know what items you'd like to carry.
